This Week #24

Celebratory 'end of the first working week' sandwich for lunch at work on Friday / Spending my evenings blog writing and planning

It's been a busy and exciting week this week, full of new experiences and a few trying moments thrown in there too. I'm spending my weekend relaxing and catching up on blog work that I've not already completed this week in the evenings. Below are this week's 5 things have made me happy and I hope you've all had a great week too.

1) Starting my new job this week and it going very well! I'm very happy with what I am doing and the role I have is something I love a lot already.

2) Learning plenty of new skills within my new job from learning how to use a Mac to optimising the skills I already have and using them in a professional business sense. It's exciting and interesting which is exactcly what I wanted from a job.

3) Making the most of the little moments. The moments on my own and the moments with my loved ones mainly. When you spend all day at work you really do realise that the little moments are the best and most precious to make sure you are aware of.

4) The fact that I'm super organised for Christmas this year. I'm terrible when it comes to Christmas shopping and starting a new job this month as well means that I'm even more thankful than normal for more organisation this year.

5) 6Music. They are my favourite radio station and always play such a wild variety of music that educates me in new artists and puts a smile on my face and makes me want to dance lots. They've been great to listen to this week, yet again providing the soundtrack to my days.

What I've Been Listening To:

Disclosure feat. London Grammar - Help Me Lose My Mind

Taylor Swift - Bad Blood

In case you missed it, you can check out tracks of the week #127

What I've Been Reading:

- Lauren Laverne's consistently brilliant column for The Pool, this week she was talking about the lack of female representation in the media and it's effect on women. It's a great and thought provoking piece, well worth a read.
- Interesting article by Stephanie Merritt at The Pool about how we should always teach young girls to aim high with their dreams and aspirations.
