Food Review: Lucky Fox, Sheffield

whatthefork.co.uk

A couple of weeks ago, me and my boyfriend headed into town for a lovely Saturday strolling around the city centre and to do some last minute Christmas shopping. After a good couple of hours shopping, we were starting to get hungry and went off in search of food. We ended up in Lucky Fox for the third time in a few months to sample some more of their delicious menu.

For a Saturday afternoon, service wasn't slow at all and we got our food served to us around 20 minutes or so after we ordered which is good going. Consulting the menu for mere minutes before ordering, I went straight for the Mac'n'Cheese and honestly who wouldn't?! The beautifully cooked and perfectly cheesy pasta was served in a good sized, one person casserole style dish and it was definitely just the right amount and perfectly crispy on top. Seasoned well and packed full of flavour from the cheese and the creamy sauce, it was one of the best Mac'n'Cheese's I've eaten. The portion of wilted spinach placed on top was also just the right amount and the irony spinach worked well against the rich, creamy flavours and textures.

I also ordered some fries with the Mac'n'Cheese because what is a meal without all the carbs! They were perfectly cooked with a good colour, the slightly thicker size is something I much prefer and they were soft and fluffy inside making for a great batch of fries.

For around £10, I got a drink, fries and a main meal which I think is more than good going really especially for the quality of meal of on offer here at Lucky Fox. Fresh ingredients, great service, well cooked food and an awesome, well put together menu makes this place one of the most exciting new food places in Sheffield and it is somewhere I will be visiting many more times in the future.

Lucky Fox is situated at 75 Division Street, Sheffield, S1 4GF
